Hello to everyone out there. This is my first posting and I hope I get it right as I don't really know what I am doing but thought I should start somewhere and try and make it work.
I thought I would start as I mean to go on with a picture of cake mmm.. its what lifes all about!
It has been a stressful week and I could do with some cake right this minute! I have been running my own gallery in Cornwall for the last three years selling my and other artists work. But I chose the wrong location (much to quiet) and decided this year that it was not working out, so this has been my last week and I will have to pack up and leave at the weekend. Its going to be a nightmare as I have well and truly packed the shop with goodies and I'm not sure where to start.
To make things doubly difficult we (my husband Ian and I) are starting up a new business at home running arts and craft courses. We now have some of our first bookings but we still have not finished the workshop, paths, decorating etc. (hope the people who have booked dont read this!) So next week when I could do with a rest I will be frantically waving paint brushes and spades around to get it all done! There's nothing like a bit of pressure to get you motivated.
Thank you to fellow bloggers
I would like to thank all the other bloggers taking part in the Vintage and Handmade fair in November at Rangeworthy, especially Jayne and Michele who were very kind in letting me join in even though I had not got blogging! I will have to find out how to add the advert and info to this blog, help?
It should be a great day and I am planning loads of things to make. I have a lovely stash of vintage cards, paper, books etc that I will turn into jewellery, like these little "Cutie Pies" and lots of little vintage bits and pieces that will go into some assemblages, like a little china black poodle who is going to be Ooh La la in gay Paris! Will post a photo when he's done.
Well that is all I am saying for now as I have to start packing the shop and its taken me a couple of hours to get this far. I just hope it all uploads OK.

Welcome to the (very addictive) world of blogging Jane! I'm looking forward to seeing all your goodies at the fair.
The workshops sound very interesting - you'll have to tell us more when you have the time.
Good luck with all the packing - I'm sorry to hear that the gallery didn't work out for you but your new venture sounds like fun!
