Booty buys and an award to pass on.

Hello all, long time no blog!  I dont know where the days are going, cant believe its three weeks since I did a post. Obviously the Home spun fair was taking up all my time till last weekend when we had a wonderful day see the blog to see how it went. Thankyou all you ladies who made it such a success and all of you who visited we hope you will come to the next one.
This week has just flown catching up with house work, rather half heartedly, and working in The Sea Garden and going to boot fairs.
Here are some of the things I got at booties to sell and the bits I bought at the Fair.  For some reason they ended up the wrong way round and I cant be bothered to reload them all.

As soon as I put this basket on the table to photograph it little Daisy thought Mmmm...must get in that!  She didnt fit and could not even get her tail in but hey, she tried. Nice basket 50s I think?

A comfy cat! Small chair? No, big cat. My Boris boy, such a softy.

A sweet little 50s basket handbag, nearly black when I bought it, scrubbed up nice and a lovely tin colours are beautifully faded.

Such a cute little jug and bowl the jug is only about 4 inches tall, it has been damaged on the handle but still very decorative.

I really love the little bowl with the cat on, the poem 'pussycat, pussycat' is on the back,  I bought this to sell but not sure if I will be able to part with it. Sooty mug, has a little chip.  Cant stop myself buying china dogs! This one is a perfume bottle the head unscrews.

Another china dog, the head comes off so you can move it around, a bit kitsch.

I was going to sell these two girls at the fair along with some others but could not bear to part with them. They look so sweet on my sewing table.

On the right is Cyril a cheeky chappie I bought from Michele, here he is being introduced to a the terrier Bertie I got form Michele at the last V&H fair. Bertie was a bit miffed at first you can see he looks a bit put out! But Cyril soon won him round and they now live together on the shelf quite happily.

These were all the purchases I made at the fair, luckily I did not get much chance to spend! The cabinet now homes a collection of little toys.  lovely old ribbon, ric rac and lace trim and some pretty pink floral fabric, cant wait to use these in something.
I was lucky this week to be awarded a Lovely Blog award from the brilliant and hilarious Mad Aunt Bernard thank you aunty!
The rules of acceptance are:
On the post of accepting the award make sure you link back to the person who gave it to you.
Choose five brill blogs to pass it on to.
When you list the five blogs make sure you link to them.
List five current obsessions.
Make sure you tell the people you have made the award to.

My five current obsessions are

4. Making collage pictures with torn bits of vintage fabric.

You obviously have much better Boot sales than we do in Somerset! I trudged around for hours trying to find anything old or interesting in the vast sea of plastic & pink baby clothes! ..... then at last I found a bag of tiny 60's dollshouse dolls - hoorah!!!!

I love the dogs too! They're so full of expression. I love seeing other people's treasures. With regard to my link, try it again, as it's definitely the right one, but I don't know if Blogger's got a wire crossed somewhere...isn't technology wonderful? And folks wonder why I live in a hedge...x

Hi Jane and hello happy crow! I might have found the problem with the link - check the link and see if it says blogspot in the url, if it says 'blogpot' instead we've found the problem. Blogpot is being used by a radical Christian group. Odd or what??

How gorgeous are your cats! I love all your finds, it looks like you've had a really good purchasing spree! Maybe you'll just have to hold on to your treasures for a little while before you sell them! I do that with some fabrics, just like to look at them for a little time then they are ready to be made into something for someone else to have!
Nice to have found you, take care

Haven't been by for a while sorry. Your purchases I am sure are the envy of many - including me! But it was your cats - I had to do a double take - I thought they were my Willoughby. A rescued cat from the SSPCA we originally thought he was just a long haired moggy then a visitor identified him as a Norwegian Forest Cat as they used to have one too. Are yours NF's? Well what ever they are they are totally gorgeous!
will be back soon
