Sweet as a lamb.A very Springy post.

A couple of weeks ago I stayed at my brothers for a couple of days when I delivered new paintings to a gallery in Oxford. They have a farm and at the moments lots of lovely skipperty lambs. Although they did not loose any mothers some of the lambs need that little bit of extra TLC and get bottle fed three times a day.

This little chap was clearly keen to get at his bottle of warm milk.

There you go! And boy do they drink it quick!

"I want to tell you a secret! That new person has another bottle."

To scared to go out.

Number 35 is my favourite, such a sweet little face and the tiniest.

Ahhhhhh.

They have a few sheep that are sort of pets, this is one of them for some reason called Pirate!

Enjoying a patch of sun in the barn.

Here are a couple of new paintings, 'Waiting for father' and 'The quilters'. They are both quite big canvases, I loved doing the quilt with all the pattern on it.

Hope to see lots of you at the Vintage and Handmade Fair on Saturday.

what a lovely post. I thin no.35 is cute too-can we keep him/her? Pirate looks a bit scary to me-like she would have your legs from under you if you got too close to the babies!
Hope you sell lots of your lovely things at the fair.

Hi Sweetie, my Mum always says lambs are sweet but not when you have to get up before school every day to feed them...as she did as a child...Lovely to hear from you, we are just packing getting ready for the 11 hour journey to Skye I think I will feel human again after that...and n my return I will give you a ring...we must catch up...lots of love H

Love those lambs, they are adorable! I used to have a pet lamb when I was little, and do remember how fast they gobble up their milk! They even used to jump up and put their front hooves on your chest like a dog would! Your new paintings are lovely as well :) Jenny x

Just adorable!! Many years ago I worked at an Amish business, and we had sheep just outside the window all day...even got to hold the lambs at 1 day old! Sooooooo cute. I love it when they jump straight up in the air, hehe. :)

Your paintings are wonderful, and I so wish I lived close enough to see them in person...

Also new to your site, and blogging! Just got my own up and running, but I`ll defintitely be keeping an eye on yours. Would love to have a piece of your art on my walls. Love them all, but especially this one with the quilt. (Glad to know there are other vintage buffs about)

I love both these paintings, Jane, and your use of colour - vibrant, but with a limited palette so it's never too much. Your fabric frames are very effective, too. Is the quilt actual fabric or painted? I notice you used fabric for the dress in the painting in the post below (also lovely) but can't tell in the quilt picture.
